Dr. Sarah L. Mele
Dr. Sarah Mele earned her medical degree at Temple School
of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a 3 year
Podatric Surgical Residency at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Sarah is currently the Vice President on the Executive Board
of the New Mexico Podiatric Medical Association.
She enjoys treating sports injuries, heel pain, skin and nail
conditions, fractures and all other facets of the foot and ankle.
Particularly, she takes a very comprehensive appraoch to
patients with diabetes and enjoys protecting and treating their
feet to prevent ulcers, infection and amputations.
With her extensive training, she uses a conservative approach in
all apsects of foot and ankles surgery, as well as medical care of
foot and ankle deformities; however, does not hesitate to perform
surgery when necessary.
Dr. Sarah grew up in Rio Rancho and is excited to be home in New
Mexico to begin her practice. She completed her undergraduate
studies at the Univeristy of New Mexico where she was on the swim
team and where she majored in Biology. She continues to root
for the Lobos! She enjoys water polo, yoga, and snowboarding
when she is not working hard taking care of her patients.
